# Prince Client feature coverage

Reference date: **16 October 2026**. Target: **Prince Client 0.3.0**, Minecraft Java **26.1.1**, Java **25**, Fabric Loader **0.19.3**, Fabric API **0.145.4+26.1.1**.

This is a release checklist and source-level inventory, not a claim of full Feather or Lunar parity. Prince currently has **34 implemented module entries: 22 HUD, 10 rendering, and 2 controls**. See [BUILD-VERIFICATION.md](BUILD-VERIFICATION.md) for executed checks and their limits. A settings toggle is counted here only when a rendering, telemetry, or input implementation exists. The delivered product is the Fabric mod only; standalone launchers are outside the user's final scope.

## Reference scope and status

- **F** means the [Feather common-mod reference](https://docs.feathermc.com/server-api/mods/#common-feather-mods): 92 rows observed on the reference date. The page calls these common mods; it is not a complete specification. The [Feather homepage](https://feathermc.com/) also announced migration to Dawn when checked, so this document fixes its comparison to the cited Feather snapshot.
- **L** means [Lunar Apollo mod options](https://lunarclient.dev/apollo/developers/mods/overlaymod): 99 navigation entries observed on the reference date. Some child pages still showed an older 95-entry navigation. This is an API-facing index, not proof that every option exists on every Minecraft version.
- **Core** means Prince implements the named basic behavior. It does **not** mean every vendor setting, display style, or edge case is matched.
- **Partial** means there is a narrower implementation or a related measurement with materially different scope.
- **Missing** means no Prince implementation was found in the inspected source. Vanilla Minecraft behavior does not count as a Prince enhancement.
- **Separate system** means the feature needs additional integration, executable software, network service, or server cooperation. It is not included merely because the mod can show a button for it.

The comparison uses concise feature names rather than vendor descriptions. Missing rows are development backlog, not promises or disabled features available in the current JAR.

## Implemented module inventory

Sources of Prince behavior: [Modules.java](src/main/java/io/prince/client/Modules.java), [PrinceHud.java](src/main/java/io/prince/client/PrinceHud.java), [HudTelemetry.java](src/main/java/io/prince/client/HudTelemetry.java), [FeatureEffects.java](src/main/java/io/prince/client/FeatureEffects.java), and [mixins](src/main/java/io/prince/client/mixin/). Source inspection alone does not verify every runtime scenario; the verification notes identify actual observations.

| Toggle sneak (`TOGGLE_SNEAK`) | F Toggle Sprint; L ToggleSneak | Core: sneak-key toggle with cleanup on disable/profile/world transitions. |

The narrower comparisons are intentional: [Lunar Reach Display](https://lunarclient.dev/apollo/developers/mods/reachdisplay), [WAILA](https://lunarclient.dev/apollo/developers/mods/waila), and [Saturation](https://lunarclient.dev/apollo/developers/mods/saturation) expose capabilities beyond these Prince implementations. A basic measurement must not be advertised as the entire corresponding vendor module.

## Prince interface and configuration

| Surface | Implemented source behavior | Remaining scope |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Home and Back navigation | Prince title/home screen, native world/server/settings destinations, local profiles, HUD editor, parent-screen Back and in-world Resume | No account switching, cosmetics store, or private Feather services |
| Module menu | Search, category sidebar, module cards, on/off controls, settings buttons, scrolling/pagination, keyboard search focus | No favorites, per-module toggle hotkeys, or vendor-wide command palette |
| HUD editor | Dragging, arrow movement, scale adjustment, optional panel, reset, screen-edge clamping | No grid snapping, alignment guides, multi-selection, or vanilla-HUD relocation |
| Appearance | Original dark Prince interface, accent presets, HUD text presets, scale and panel controls | No arbitrary color picker, font library, background-opacity slider, or alternate theme system |
| Profiles | Create blank/copy, switch, delete with confirmation, per-profile modules/layout/colors/settings | No account sync, import/export UI, automatic server profiles, or sharing service |
| Persistence | JSON configuration with guarded loading and atomic replacement; legacy properties migration | Rejected files are backed up before replacement; filesystem failures are logged; no user-facing recovery wizard |
| Controls | Minecraft key-binding entries for menu, zoom and stopwatch; existing sprint/sneak keys | No global keybind-search overlay or arbitrary macros |

These are source-level checks of [PrinceScreen](src/main/java/io/prince/client/PrinceScreen.java), [HudEditorScreen](src/main/java/io/prince/client/HudEditorScreen.java), [ModuleSettingsScreen](src/main/java/io/prince/client/ModuleSettingsScreen.java), and [ProfileScreen](src/main/java/io/prince/client/ProfileScreen.java). UI responsiveness, readability, focus behavior, and persistence require game validation; “best UI” is not a measurable release status.

## Server-specific and external integrations

All rows are **Missing / Separate system** in Prince. Server data and permission are requirements where applicable; local toggles cannot provide information the client does not receive.

| Capability | Reference | Dependency to resolve |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Hypixel utilities, Bedwars, statistics and SkyBlock | F Hypixel; L HypixelMod/HypixelBedwars/HypixelStats/Skyblock | Individual server features, data formats/APIs, permitted behavior and version testing; not one generic switch |

| Radio / Mumble | L Radio/MumbleLink | External media/voice integration |
| Server APIs | F Server API; L Apollo | Explicit protocol/plugin integration; no claim of impersonating either vendor client |

[Feather's API](https://docs.feathermc.com/server-api/mods/) supports server control of enabled/blocked mods. [Lunar Apollo](https://lunarclient.dev/apollo/developers/modules) has separate modules for server-driven UI, team data, markers, combat rules, waypoints and more. Prince currently implements neither protocol. Similar feature names do not confer vendor-service access.

## Launcher, accounts and services

| Capability | Prince status | Required separate work |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Standalone launcher | Missing | Executable packaging, game/runtime installation, authenticated launch, updates and platform testing |
| Mod/modpack library | Missing | Discovery, download verification, loader/dependency resolution, licensing and version-specific compatibility |
| Friends / presence / cross-server chat | Missing | Identity, authentication, hosted messaging, privacy controls, retention and abuse handling |
| Cosmetics / emotes / skins / store | Missing | Original assets, account ownership, rendering, distribution and any store/payment system; private vendor cosmetics are not transferable by this JAR |
| World/server hosting | Missing | Server lifecycle, networking/proxy/relay capacity, access controls and operational hosting; no free hosting service is bundled |
| Voice chat | Missing | Compatible client/server or relay protocol, microphone controls, audio transport and service operation |
| Cloud profiles / screenshot sharing | Missing | Authenticated storage, sharing permissions and backend operation |

These distinctions follow the [Feather product page](https://feathermc.com/), [Lunar mod-loading guide](https://www.lunarclient.com/news/how-to-add-your-own-mods-to-lunar-client), [Lunar social update](https://www.lunarclient.com/news/lunar-client-monthly-recap-march-2026), [Lunar Hosted Worlds guide](https://www.lunarclient.com/news/maximizing-fun-in-lunar-client-hosted-worlds), and [Lunar account/cosmetics FAQ](https://www.lunarclient.com/faq), checked on the reference date.

## Third-party performance and platform compatibility

Prince does **not** bundle Sodium, Iris, Replay Mod, Noxesium, OptiFine, Phosphor, Simple Voice Chat, SkyblockAddons or Not Enough Updates. Lunar documents several of these in its [mod-loading guide](https://www.lunarclient.com/news/how-to-add-your-own-mods-to-lunar-client) and [client overview](https://www.lunarclient.com/news/what-is-lunar-client); those pages describe vendor integrations, not Prince compatibility. Some articles concern older releases/loaders. Verify exact Minecraft **26.1.1** artifacts, dependencies, licenses and mixin interactions before recommending or packaging any integration.

No FPS uplift, reduced memory footprint, faster chunk loading or performance parity has been benchmarked here. A frame-rate counter, fullbright, and minimal particles are not evidence for a performance claim.

The project is a Fabric **client mod**, not a server plugin, standalone launcher, native Android application, or Bedrock add-on. The build targets the version named at the top. Windows, macOS, Linux, Android Java launchers, gamepad/touch input, alternate GPUs/renderers and third-party mod combinations need their own recorded tests. Successful desktop compilation alone establishes none of those runtime compatibility claims.

## Release sign-off checklist

Leave a box unchecked until fresh evidence for the combined build is recorded in the release verification notes. These are acceptance criteria, not a statement that new tests must be created.

- [ ] Record source/archive identifier, JDK version, exact build command, exit status and final JAR hash.
- [ ] Launch the packaged JAR on the declared Minecraft/Fabric versions; inspect startup and shutdown logs for mixin/render failures.
- [ ] Exercise all 34 module entries in a world, both enabled and disabled; record which behaviors were observed and which remain unverified.
- [ ] Check each HUD against independently observable values; include empty hands/armor, effect expiration, respawn, dimension change, disconnect and reconnect.
- [ ] Verify click-window expiry, stopwatch controls, session reset, held-item totals, and reach behavior; retain the client-data limitations in release notes.
- [ ] Confirm fullbright, zoom, FOV, weather, fire, particles and camera effects visibly restore on disable/profile/world transitions without rewriting vanilla preferences.
- [ ] Check sprint/sneak with menus, profile changes, disconnects and existing vanilla toggle settings; ensure no stuck input.
- [ ] Exercise search, categories, empty results, pagination, sliders, keyboard navigation, HUD dragging/scaling and profile create/copy/delete/cancel at multiple GUI scales and resolutions.
- [ ] Restart after configuration edits and verify persistence; check missing/malformed config and legacy migration without losing unrelated profiles.
- [ ] Record multiplayer limitations and any third-party-mod combinations actually tested; leave other platforms/configurations unverified.
- [ ] Ensure release notes and the public download page match the actual JAR/version and retain partial/missing scope rather than claiming all Feather/Lunar features.

Updating a feature to verified requires a reproducible observation or check result for that feature; a successful compile or a menu toggle alone is insufficient.
